2022 Grand Champion - Steve MacGeorge of Seattle GC

RICH HISTORY
In the early summer of 1923, a number of Victoria golfers met to discuss the merit of forming a Seniors' Golf Group within the member clubs of the Pacific North West Golf Association. Following general approval of the idea, they formed an association to be formerly known as the "Seniors' North West Golf Association". The association is divided into six geographical districts, namely Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, Vancouver and Victoria. Each district is represented on the Board of Governors by three governors who serve a term of three years.
The objective of this association is to encourage friendly competition in golf among senior players and to hold an annual golf tournament. There have only been three host clubs in our vast history: Royal Colwood hosted 10 times between 1924-1947, Tacoma hosted once in 1993 and VGC has hosted all remaining years.
To facilitate this friendly competition, the Tournament consisted of a qualifying round followed by match play in flights. There is a Grand Championship flight to determine the overall champion, and the rest of the flights are made up of golfers in age groups: D(50-59), C(60-64), B(65-69), A(70-74), AA(75-79), and AAA(80+).
An international contest between teams drawn from USA and Canadian members of the association is held each year on the Sunday prior to the start of the tournament.
With additional social activities throughout the duration of the tournament like cocktail parties and dinners, the Seniors' North West Golf Association is an outstanding group to be a part of and we welcome you to join us!
